How Our Network Works for You

Talk to a local provider

Who you talk to

You talk to an independent provider in our network. Not a call center full of experts, and not someone who works for Proposedvoted Concrete. Providers run their own businesses, set their own schedules and write their own quotes. Proposedvoted Concrete makes the introduction, then steps back.

Gather a few details first

Walk the space with a tape measure. Take a few photos from different angles. Note where water runs after a storm and where snow piles up. Think about how you will use the surface: cars, chairs, a grill. Those details help a provider give a clearer picture, and they help you compare quotes fairly. If you like stamped concrete patios, collect a few pictures of colors and patterns you enjoy.

What the first conversation looks like

Expect plain questions. What do you want built? How big is the space? Is there an old slab to remove? Does water pool there after rain? A provider may ask for photos or suggest a site visit. Request a callback to check provider availability, or use the request form if you would rather write it out.

Questions worth asking

Keep this list handy. Ask, then decide.

  • Are you licensed and insured where I live, and can I see proof?
  • How will you prepare and compact the base?
  • What thickness, reinforcement and joint plan do you suggest?
  • How will you handle drainage and slope?
  • What does the written quote include, and what does it leave out?
  • When could the work start, and what might weather do to that?
  • How long before I can walk, park or drive on it?

You are in control

Nothing here binds you. You can compare more than one provider, ask for changes, or walk away. Read the quote twice. Be careful with anyone who asks for most of the money upfront or presses you to decide fast.

A word on related problems

If your trouble is a cracked foundation wall or a damp basement, foundation repair experts are the right trade. A concrete flatwork provider can tell you honestly when a job is outside what they do.
